Weekly Farm Produce Price Tracker – Niger State

I'm starting this thread to track weekly farm produce prices in Minna and environs. This week (May 2026): Maize – ₦580/kg, Sorghum – ₦520/kg, Cowpea – ₦950/kg, Groundnut – ₦680/kg, Sesame – ₦1,200/kg, Cassava flour – ₦380/kg. Prices are from Kpakungu and Minna central markets. Fellow Niger State farmers, please share updates from your local markets.

Excellent post. One addition I'd make: always keep records. A simple notebook tracking inputs, costs, and yields makes a big difference come year-end.

I tried this approach last year and it worked well. The only challenge was sourcing quality inputs on time. Plan early!
