Fall armyworm hit my Imo State farm in March and I nearly lost everything. Early signs: tiny holes in leaves, frass (sawdust-like droppings) in the whorl. Once you see it, act within 48 hours. I used Emamectin benzoate 1.9EC at 200ml/ha and it stopped the spread. Biological control with NPV (nuclear polyhedrosis virus) is also effective and safer. Has anyone tried the push-pull method with Desmodium?

The variety selection tip is spot on. I lost money choosing the wrong variety early on.

Great information! I've been struggling with this exact problem. Can you share the contact details of your supplier or agent?

I had a similar experience. What worked for me was consulting with the state ADP extension officers. They offer free farm visits in some states.

This is gold! I'll be sharing with my cooperative members at our next meeting. We need more discussions like this on the platform.

Can anyone share the specific government agency to contact for the grant you mentioned? I've been looking for funding for months.

I disagree slightly – timing is everything in farming. The advice here is good but won't work equally in all states due to different soil types.
